| dc.description.abstract | The use of computer vision or image processing techniques to help the human day-to-day activities are a common occurrence. We describe a set of image processing techniques which have been explored to detect the lottery ticket numbers using an android application. Sri Lankans spend thousands of rupees on lotteries every day. Some people buy many tickets with multiple numbers and it get increased when there are huge jackpots. According to the National lottery board, the sales income of the lottery tickets in 2016 was 201 million. The proposed solution has been implemented for convenient of the users, and it is implemented according to the client server architecture. It provides two option to the users to check the lottery results; capture image or QR scanning feature to check the lottery result.There are several image processing mobile applications available, but none of the applications can be used to check the lottery results. This proof of concept is to overcome the limitations and explore the capabilities of web and mobile hybrid technologies. | |
